When planning our homework, our final stage was what we should use as an "object".  At this point, we decided to shape the project by reflecting our own tastes using 3 different objects. For me, we can make things better rather than hiding what we think we lack. From this point of view, we sometimes disappear in our thoughts about our life. We have trouble deciding. When there is more than one option, we are confused and cannot detect the correct point. So, I'm thinking of using the concept of "Diffusion" which is my COMD 101 project. I want to do it using flowers. Because I have more than one petal, I want it to refer to thoughts. Each event has an exit point. We continue to do research for our final project. At this point, we decided to take advantage of "optical illusion". In my opinion, creating a whole from different pictures will be more creative. Because, as I've said many times before, I have an obsession with "eye". Our eyes are wonderful organs. A wonderful mechanism that can combine colors, movements, and parts in a spectacular way. I really want to reflect this on our project. Using Optical Illusion, we can reach a large picture with the method of going from special to whole. I have met with  Tim Burton through one of my favorite movie, "Corpse Bride" taken with stop-motion technique.  However, my favorite "Charlie's Chocolate Factory" from the other movie of this man is a truly excellent (subjective) interpretation of his story and his cinematic perception.  I can see his style and especially the music he chooses ( Danny Elfman ) , the themes work in complete harmony. That's why I really like this guy's style. The color scans he chooses can be called "dark" colors by simplifying them, but I think the man has a palette of his own which is particularly useful in most of his movies. That's enough to make him unique. He has a unique style in his films. We talked about the class discussion. We are in the process of finding ideas for our final project. This time we are asked to do a setup with a digital aspect that is different from the ones we did last time. In fact, I would like to do this kind of digital collage project because I like digital collage style. Of course, we have to consider this by adhering to the resources we have. For example, we can create a story on such human figures, standing in front of the projection, reflecting our own image. To my opinion; I think we can place two projections at the top and bottom. After separating the horizontal or vertical line on a wall, a person's eyes and nose; the other person can try something funny by combining his mouth and his jaw. ( or like this, an animal face...) I also like the light shows made with these shapes. It looks very different and a technological ornament.

Together with my group friends, we reviewed the videos we watched in the classroom. We tried to explain the feeling of embarrassment in a surreal way. I wanted to have more white colors as a cinematographer. Surreal thoughts are a bit of a dream world. When these feelings of embarrassment are experienced, we feel like our brains and face are burning. I found the video of the offensive on the blood drops from the internet to indicate this. The subject was ashamed of a woman's body. Another footage I found, the "sweating belly", represented the weight that was trying to lose. The most important thing in movies is the sound and camera angle, which we talk about for weeks. But I think we've just come to the most important point. Sound. The element that best reflects the subject is indistinct music. A movie gives the desired feeling if it is romantic if it is reflected in slow music. We learned the elements of sound design. In this week's assignment, we choose a silent movie and add sound to the appropriate scenes of that movie. I don't like to watch silent movies. I've been trying to make a 2-minute trailer by shortening a 2-hour movie all week. I had no experience with video before. I didn't do things like adding sound or adding scenes. It was a nice and fun experience.   My movie is Oliver Twist (1948). Originally, it is an adventure movie. It has musicals, movies taken in different years, and a few cartoons. I watched the movie several times. It made my job easier to choose the scenes. I've made this movie as a romantic but a little dark. In the film's original "the orphan child" in the foreground, but in my version "the women" in the foreground. I think the scenes in the trailer should not be more independent than each other. We need to figure out what's going on. So I tried not to disturb the principle of "continuity" and try not to distort the film in terms of camera and light. This week was very busy for me. I couldn't focus on anything emotionally and physically. Legion directed by Noah Hawley. It is a comic book adaptation so it's hard to catch "that" air, but I couldn't feel it. It is a series, but the first episode was like a movie. There's a man with schizophrenia disorder, David Haller. We watch the first episode through his eyes. There must be a mise-en-scene in films, chapters or any other painting. Mise-en-scene is a kind of setting the area through costumes, lights, and props of the characters and events. Each scene should be carefully prepared and each detail must have a meaning and a purpose. For example, you can be a character who speaks a lot on the phone and is constantly messaging but never likes to cook. The decor and costume are very important to reflect this weather, which will reflect these characteristics of the character. "Props" are very important in terms of the naturalness of the film. This week, we did a "workshop" about light. In fact, the important point was the so-called "3 points light". In that way, we tried organizing three lights and taking photographs. Besides, we took pictures with different filters, using reflector and dimming for creating different types of photographs. I think this kind of activity is more enjoyable than listening to a normal lecture. I didn't understand how passed fast that 3 hours. I think that working in a studio environment is more instructive. Using light, we can give emotion to many scenes. The wrong light can ruin everything. So we need to figure out where we're sharp and where we can use soft light. Since we worked as a group, everyone tried to reflect their own style. Of course, it was not possible for the middle road. I, I like working with shadows, silhouettes and dark colors. Adding Sound The sound is the most important point in the movies. Actors' movements can become even more effective with the current music or sound. However, one of my favorite movie which is " About Schmidt ", begins as a silent movie in general. It's not a “noisy”, “distracted” movie. In the beginning, we can understand Schmidt's problem from his looks and attitudes. We can hardly notice what his problem is. Of course, ingenuity is the ability to capture the film without sound but this is the most "silent- close" film I've ever watched. That's why I can give it as an example. This week, we worked on more detailed topics about photography. Step by step, we looked at the famous bathroom scene of Psycho (1960) by Hitchcock and North by Northwest ( again Hitchcock, 1959). In general terms, narrative photography is the idea that photographs can be used to tell a story. That is mean we need to create a story with using photographs. It should look like they are acting but they are not. This is what I understand. I think, the important point is that I need to know some kind of cinematography. I want to show my one and only favorite movie “Mommy” directed by Xavier Dolan and the cinematography by André Turpin. Lights, camera angle and shots are so beautiful for me that I can't get enough of looking. Besides, the most important thing is the lights and angles. In this way, I think we can bring mobility to photos. That's why the photos are meaningful. They are a continuation of each other and they call this photo narrative. First of all,   when I watch the video without doing any research, I clearly understand  that the important thing is how people express themselves. It is clear that people are dancing around because they want to dance, regardless of the strange looks and the security guard (I’ve learned that he was not a real actor, it become spontaneously because this music video call “ Guerilla-style ” and this was not a legal way to shoot.
