Photo Narrative /2

This week, we worked on more detailed topics about photography. Step by step, we looked at the famous bathroom scene of Psycho (1960) by Hitchcock and North by Northwest ( again Hitchcock, 1959). We understand the importance of angle and light. I think it's about seeing. After all, there is a lot of people who can't "see." This week we try to take photographs with a story like this, but maybe I'm one of them who are not successful in seeing. I don't know yet. Dialogue, 180 degrees and "rule of third" were the most memorable examples for me. It's a bit hard to create a story with photographs. We wanted to create a "narrative" with Alisa explaining that every person is always alone without realizing time and space. I don't know how much we can accomplish this, but we're both going to pull it apart and eventually combine it. From an entire story, we follow the rule of going from one piece to the next. Photo Narrative

In general terms, narrative photography is the idea that photographs can be used to tell a story. That is mean we need to create a story with using photographs. It should look like they are acting but they are not. This is what I understand. I think, the important point is that I need to know some kind of cinematography. I want to show my one and only favorite movie “Mommy” directed by Xavier Dolan and the cinematography by AndrĂ© Turpin. In this way, I think we can bring mobility to photos. That's why the photos are meaningful. They are a continuation of each other and they call this photo narrative. Our priority is to decide what the message will be. This can be a social message or we can create a completely fictional story. There shouldn't be things that we can't see and create. I think there must be concrete i...

"Praise You" by Fatboy Slim

First of all,   when I watch the video without doing any research, I clearly understand  that the important thing is how people express themselves. It is clear that people are dancing around because they want to dance, regardless of the strange looks and the security guard (I’ve learned that he was not a real actor, it become spontaneously because this music video call “ Guerilla-style ” and this was not a legal way to shoot. This detail is very interesting I think).  Although the dances may seem ridiculous and funny, I think the video is important and worthwhile, the video is taken with a really low budget, without any productions, even in a way that can be called amateurish, the video can be more resonant than many professional videos. Clothes and age groups are quite different, people's reactions are inconsistent, but no one cares about their comments. The lyrics of the song are understood accordingly. Obviously, after searching the song and the video clip, I act...
